As the Massachusetts media landscape continues to evolve, so too have the roles of the reporters, editors, and publishers who shape our daily coverage. Our annual Meet the Media event—presented by the State House News Service and MASSterList—recently concluded, bringing together over 300 communication and media professionals for a morning of high-level insights into a rapidly changing industry.
Attendees gathered at the MCLE Conference Center to hear from seasoned pros and rising stars alike, focusing on how news is sourced, crafted, and sustained in the modern era.

The morning featured two deep-dive panel discussions moderated by Aidan Ryan (Media Reporter, Boston Globe):
Reporter Roundtable: A look at the process and craft behind the daily headlines. Panelists included Mike Deehan (Axios Boston), Jess Bartlett (Boston Globe), Chris Van Buskirk (Boston Herald), and Yawu Miller (The FlipSide).
Remaking Local News: An exploration of the challenges and opportunities in the digital world. This panel featured Alberto Vasallo III (El Mundo Boston), Niko Emack (Cambridge Day), and Mike Beaudet (Northeastern University).
