Knowledge and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in government, legislative and/or corporate public relations and/or government affairs roles
- Bachelor’s Degree required in relevant field.
Skills:
- Strong writing skills and superb attention to detail
- Superb written and oral communications skills
- Strong public-facing and client-facing interpersonal skills with confidence to engage at all levels and across all functions.
- Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and assess priorities
- High degree of personal and professional integrity
- Experience with managing sensitive or confidential information
- Comfortable to work both independently and with a team.
- Graphic design experience a plus
- Social media content creation experience a plus
Key Accountabilities:
- Schedule stakeholder/MBTA meetings and manage related preparations for CEO including coordinating agendas, logistics, briefings, and attendees.
- Manage, prioritize, and respond to stakeholder/MBTA event and meeting invitations in consultation with and on behalf of CEO and Executive Team
- Support the creation of presentations and related materials to advance KCS’ strategic agendas and prepare for scheduled stakeholder/MBTA meetings.
- Assist with implementation of strategic engagement plans, identify community outreach opportunities, and coordinate logistics with KCS leadership for thoughtful, effective, and timely community and client engagement.
- Log, track, and draft responses to intergovernmental and constituent inquiries
- Draft content for social media, newsletters, media responses, executive briefings, and press releases
- Develop social media plan for KCS corporate Twitter and LinkedIn
- Collaborate with internal communications, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure consistency in public, stakeholder and client-facing messaging.
- Prepare materials needed for KCS event sponsorships
- Assist with Keolis Group and Keolis North America communications initiatives
- Assist with special projects, event planning, and other activities to support the company’s strategic goals
- Special projects as assigned.
