Overview

The Regional Field Organizer is responsible for building, managing, and executing the campaign’s field program within an assigned region. This role focuses on volunteer recruitment and training, voter contact programs, and local coalition-building to meet turnout and persuasion goals. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, and passionate about winning the ballot questions proposed by Taxpayers for an Affordable Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong volunteer base within the assigned region
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders (e.g., precinct captains, team leads)
  • Plan and execute voter contact programs, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, texting and relational organizing
  • Meet or exceed weekly voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and data entry goals
  • Coordinate field events, canvass launches, and community outreach activities
  • Work closely with the management team to implement regional and campaign-wide strategy
  • Maintain accurate and timely data in the campaign’s voter database
  • Build relationships with local community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders
  • Assist with GOTV (Get Out The Vote) planning and execution
  • Provide regular reports on regional progress, challenges, and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Prior campaign, field organizing, or community organizing experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate, train, and manage volunteers from diverse backgrounds
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends as required by campaign schedule
  • Highly organized, goal-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with voter databases and organizing tools (e.g., VAN, Reach, Mobilize) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $4,000–$6,000 per month, commensurate with experience
