Human Resources Training Manager
Executive Bureau/Human Resources Division
Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to serve as the Training Manager in the Human Resources Division. The Human Resources Training Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation and development of training programs, including onboarding, leadership, and professional development, that back the Office’s mission and support the ongoing professional development of all employees. The Human Resources Training Manager works closely with the General Counsel’s Office, the Director of Human Resources, and Senior Management officewide to determine which types of training will be most beneficial to employees and to develop a long-term strategy for learning and development initiatives within the Attorney General’s Office. The Human Resources Training Manager will serve as the liaison between the AGO and outside training organizations, such as NAAG/NAGTRI, the Boston Bar Association, etc., and handle all aspects of managing accounts, registrations, nominations, and so forth. Additional roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the duties listed below.
Primary Duties: Duties for the Human Resources Training Manager include:
• Regularly evaluate staff needs and coordinate with upper management to determine training needs;
• Develop training circular and formulate appropriate course content and materials;
• Serve as the main point of contact for all training-related correspondence officewide;
• Administer new hire and onboarding training to ensure compliance with state and AGO policies;
• Manage the tracking and compliance of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits for attorneys;
• Coordinate the Summer Intern training program;
• Implement, maintain, and manage a new Learning Management System;
• Evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of training programs;
• Maintain and update training records and files;
• Compile and analyze statistical data and write progress reports to ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements and liability management;
• Assist with other HR processes and procedures, as needed.
Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of three years of Human Resources experience, preferably in Employee Training; demonstrated skills in leadership and the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and other government agencies; highly organized individual with the ability to prioritize and manage several ongoing tasks with strong attention to detail; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral presentation skills; strong written communication skills; extensive knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Office (including Access, and Excel); and Information Warehouse. Experience administering and creating content on a learning management system preferred. Candidates must be professional with the ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, as occasional travel to AGO Regional Offices is required.

Salary: $75,000 to $82,582
