Job description:

About the Campaign:

Senator Ed Markey is a proven progressive leader with a deep record of delivering for Massachusetts—from championing climate action and reproductive freedom to taking on corporate special interests. • Help schedule and publish content.
  • Monitor engagement, trends, and online conversations related to the campaign.

Press & Communications:

  • Maintain press lists and media databases.
  • Assist with drafting press releases, advisories, and statements.

Rapid Response & Research:

  • Monitor news, social media, and opponent activity.
  • Flag relevant stories, attacks, or opportunities for response.
  • Support fact-checking and research needs for the communications team.

Operations & Coordination:

  • Help coordinate with field, finance, and scheduling teams to support events and messaging.
  • Assist with organizing digital assets, photos, videos, and shared drives.
  • Provide administrative support to communications and digital staff as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred past experience in political campaigns, communications, digital media, or related fields.
  • Strong writing skills with an ear for tone and message.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Based in Massachusetts or willing to relocate.
