Michael P. Norton

Michael Norton has been editor-in-chief of State House News Service since 1998 and worked as a reporter there from 1989 until 1995. Between those stints, he was managing editor of The Inquirer and Mirror in Nantucket. Norton has made the South Shore of Massachusetts his home for most of his life. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University and broke into journalism at The Boston Globe during his college years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, traveling and cheering for the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics.
